AI-Powered Compliance: Panasonic and Strategix Transform Planogram Execution with Mobile Innovation

Panasonic Connect and Strategix launch planogram2go: The Integrated Image Recognition App is capable of onboarding products directly from planograms or physical shelves — the first, fully integrated planogram compliance check for retailers.

Düsseldorf/Wiesbaden, DE. 9th October 2025 – Panasonic Connect and Strategix today announced the launch of the new version of planogram2go, the first integrated image recognition app that enables AI-powered product onboarding based on planograms. The app is set to revolutionize retail operations by delivering real-time shelf visibility, faster compliance checks, and consistent in-store execution — all directly into the hands of retail teams.

Innovation Meets AI-Driven Compliance

planogram2go uses advanced AI-powered image recognition technology provided by Panasonic Connect to identify products on the shelf and match them directly to planogram positions. Store associates can simply capture shelf images using a mobile device and receive real-time guidance on correct product placement, significantly reducing errors and improving compliance. Moreover, planogram2go offers a unique capability to onboard unrecognized products directly from the shelf using the app.

“The app features an intuitive user interface that can be operated with one hand, which reduces the need for training and supports efficient workflows. This makes it suitable for retail environments where speed is important. It enables shelf execution and helps verify compliance, allowing retail organisations to implement their category strategies and and enables shelf aware replenishment” — says Jan Hanussek, CEO of Strategix.

Transforming Retail Execution in Real Time

At its core, planogram2go supports planogram execution and planogram monitoring in one application. The real-time shelf visibility allows associates to instantly analyze shelf conditions and identify gaps or misplacements. The app verifies planogram compliance and provides actionable insights directly at the point of execution, cutting down manual audits and enabling faster, more accurate compliance checks.

Panasonic’s AI expertise, including advanced computer vision technologies like SegLLM (Segmentation Large Language Model), enhances product recognition performance — even in highly dynamic and complex shelf environments. This ensures a high degree of accuracy and consistency across different store formats and layouts.

A Strategic Partnership for Scalable Retail Innovation

“Strategix, a European leader in planogram and space management solutions, brings decades of retail execution experience to the partnership,” says Carlos Osuna, Head of Panasonic R&D Europe. He adds: “With Panasonic’s support, the latest release of the app includes an overhauled UX design, a faster backend engine, and smart feedback functions that allow staff to upload images and provide real-time input from the store floor.”

Panasonic, with its global retail technology portfolio, contributes AI-driven innovation and scalable infrastructure, enabling retail organizations to bridge the gap between digital planograms and real-world shelf performance — all while ensuring consistent execution at scale.

The new solution is installed in Panasonic’s showroom near Munich: In a fully functional 150sm retail store, customers can get inspiration about the benefits of this app – and more solutions – for their business. Interested companies can apply here: Visit Campus Munich – Tours | Panasonic Connect
